We’re celebrating! Our project for the Pālamanui campus of Hawaii Community College has just been awarded LEED Platinum certification by the USGBC.
This is the highest LEED rating possible, and reflects much dedication and hard work from our clients and consultants.
In addition to utilizing green building practices such as daylighting and allowing for natural ventilation of classrooms, the campus uses a constructed wetland to treat 100% of the buildings’ wastewater onsite, which is then reused to irrigate the native landscaping. The long range development plan for the Pālamanui campus clusters buildings and designates much of the campus area as an archaeological preserve.
